Conditions of Sale
Payment
All reservations must be paid in full at least 60 days before the tour date, or within 48 hours if booked less than two months beforehand. When counting participants, an accompanying interpreter / group leader is not counted as a participant. We do not charge for group leaders, except for accommodation on 2- and 3-day tours.
Included in price
All programmes include an English-speaking guide, meals, accommodation in double rooms on 2- and 3-day tours, and information about the programme and recipes in English.
Prices do not include
All travel between venues, personal travel insurance or medical insurance, travelling interpreter’s accommodation. If required, we provide transport free of charge between Bosgård and accommodation at Sannäs in the morning and evening. Bus travel to tour venues can be arranged for a supplementary fee.
Note: We do not charge for an interpreter / group leader travelling with a group over the minimum required size (6 paying guests for 1-day tours, 8 paying guests for 2- or 3-day tours), with the exception of accommodation charges for the 2- and 3-day tours.
Transport
We will arrange bus travel at additional cost if requested, including to and from airports or from Helsinki. Please inquire at least one month in advance of your arrival date for a quote.
Tours may be abbreviated on request to accommodate groups’ flight and other schedules. This does not affect the price.
Bad weather and force majeure
We carry out our tours in all weathers. The only exception is the archipelago boat trip of the 3-day tour, which cannot be realised in high winds. In such cases we will try to re-arrange the order of the trip so that the weather may improve. If re-ordering is not possible, or the weather remains adverse, we will organise alternative programme for guests. As weather issues are beyond our control, we cannot provide refunds in the event of the boat trip being cancelled.
We reserve the right to change the order of the tour programme for logistical or weather-related reasons. Every effort will be made to keep weather-related changes to a minimum and to ensure an enjoyable alternative programme if it becomes necessary to do so. For such force majeure situations we cannot provide refunds.
Safety
Customers are asked to comply with safety regulations as detailed during the tours by the host guide. Failure to do so may result in injury or getting lost. Bosgård Ltd cannot be held responsible for injuries or loss of experience time due to non-compliance of safety rules. Any behaviour by a customer deemed likely to put the safety or comfort of other tour participants at risk may result in termination of said customer’s tour wholly or in part. In such cases no refunds will be issued.
Cancellation of a booking, late arrival and penalty fees
A booking will expire automatically if not paid within 60 days of the start of the tour. If a booking is made for a tour starting in less than 60 days, it should be paid within 48 hours.
If a paid booking is later cancelled we leverage fees as follows:
- 50€ handling fee if the reservation is cancelled at least 45 days before the start of the tour
- 250€ if the reservation is cancelled at least 21 days before the start of the tour
- 50% of the total booking fee if the reservation is cancelled at least 7 days before the start of the tour
- 95% of the total booking fee if the reservation is cancelled 3 days or less before the start of the tour
In the event of the group not cancelling and not showing up, no refund will be issued. In the event of the group arriving late due to e.g. late arrival in Finland of their aircraft or other transport, no refund can be issued for the missed part of the tour. Passengers are advised to take out travel insurance that will reimburse them for such delays.
These penalties fees are in accordance with the recommendations of the Finnish Travel Agencies Association and the Finnish Consumer Protection Bureau.
