Description: Bosgård is an expert on sustainable food production and nature-friendly forestry. As well as a tourist centre and organic producer, we are an experimental farm taking part in scientific studies in carbon sequestration and biodiversity management in the farming and forestry sectors. How do these practices affect production and help nature? What can an ordinary person do to help nature and climate change as a consumer? What products to choose and advertise to friends? This half-day or optional full-day module is aimed at all visitors interested in seeing how farming and forestry affect the environment and human health as well as the effects of consumer choices on nature and farming.

No prior knowledge of the subject is assumed; everyone will learn important and interesting facts. The module will be of particular interest to students, teachers, employees in the environmental, forestry and agriculture sectors, and landowners. The ½ day module centres on Bosgård’s forestry and agriculture, while the full day module includes a visit to another local organic producer. Lunch included in ½ day module, lunch + afternoon coffee and pastries in the full-day module.

Who is this suitable for: all adult ages and high school students.

Other info: Lecture material handouts provided in English. If desired, the material can be made available in advance for translation into other languages. We reserve the right to combing reservations of less than 35 persons.
